    Waco Livestock begins accepting livestock on Tuesday morning. Specialty livestock may also be sold on an approved basis depending on each week’s run.

    State Agency Statement

    Representative for both the Texas Animal Health Commission and the Texas and Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association are present each sale day. Questions regarding heath requirements, notifications and inquiries related to missing or stolen livestock and fees related to those organizations may be directed to your local agency office.

    Barn Services

    All livestock brought into our facility are provided with hay and water, and additional feeding if requested:

    • Fully covered barns and pens
    • Early pickup and drop off of livestock
    • Cattle hauling and pickup are available upon request – JD Jaster 254-722-4858 | Zach Thomas 254-206-1100
    • Certifications and testing of all animals’ day of sale provided by a licensed onsite veterinarian
    • Veterinary services are routinely provided by Dr. Gerald Johnson, DVM

    Since 2009, Jody and Robin Thomas have been the owners and operators of the long established business of Waco Stockyards in Waco, Texas. Having owned and managed Coryell County Commission Company in Gatesville since 1996, the Thomas family has a strong family background in agriculture and has put their talents and love for livestock and ranching to use in maintaining an auction barn that knows just how to help your specific livestock needs. Located on Highway 6, this large and recently expanded outside facility provides the full amenities and services expected of a quality cattle auction.

    Starting each Wednesday at 11:00 AM with sheep and goats, followed by light calves, packer cows and bulls, bred cows, pairs, and yearlings. Early receiving or pickup needs to be arranged with JD 254-722-4858, Zach 254-206-1100, or Jody 254-223-2958.

    Our facility also includes a delicious kitchen that serves home-cooked meals throughout the days of auctions. The Waco Stockyard Cafe’ opens at 10am Tuesday. It is not open the rest of the week. While you are visiting our sale, please stop by and make yourself feel at home.
